JOB DESCRIPTION Pitch, report and write news and features Pitch, shoot and edit packaged video pieces for social media platforms in conjunction with the Digital staff and on-air reporters Identify opportunities for interaction on social media platforms with live conversations between reporters and story sources Cut video from linear shows for use on websites, apps and social media Identify opportunities for graphics and data visualization Shadow digital editors, TV producers, assignment desk editors and others Assist with social media News writing experience In-depth understanding and use of producing vertical video for platforms like Instagram and TikTok Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Knowledge of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area Note: Applicants should submit written work samples (links, documents and/or PDFs) along with a resume and cover letter.
