Vice President, Social Media & Marketing Innovation
NBCUniversal Telemundo is seeking a forward-thinking and visionary leader to serve as Vice President of Social Media & Marketing Innovation. This role will drive the execution of Telemundo’s transformative social media marketing strategy, consolidating operations under a fan-first approach to nurture vibrant communities, amplify engagement, and deepen brand loyalty. The VP will play a pivotal role in integrating marketing innovation into Telemundo’s social ecosystem, leveraging emerging trends, technologies, partnerships and tools to develop and sustain fandoms that support the network’s IP. This leader will oversee strategy, content creation, community engagement, analytics, and innovation, ensuring social platforms deliver measurable results aligned with Telemundo’s objectives for ratings, streaming, and audience growth. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and implement a cohesive, fan-centric social media strategy aligned with Telemundo’s goals. Lead the integration of teams into a unified social media unit to ensure streamlined operations and clarity of purpose. Set and track KPIs to measure engagement and fandom growth, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Marketing Innovation and Technology Monitor emerging trends in social media, technology, and AI to identify opportunities for innovation and growth. Drive the adoption of tools and technologies to create smarter campaigns that amplify audience engagement and deliver measurable outcomes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to pioneer innovative marketing approaches that deepen fandoms and elevate Telemundo’s IP. Champion trend-mining and cultural insights to ensure Telemundo remains a leader in engaging the U.S. Hispanic audience. Content and Community Engagement Oversee the creation of platform-optimized, social-first content that resonates with diverse audiences while maintaining brand integrity. Foster vibrant fan communities through innovative engagement strategies, influencer partnerships, and paid/owned/earned campaigns. Partner with talent, producers, and external collaborators to create and amplify content reach that enhances audience connections. Analytics and Data-Driven Strategy Use data and insights to guide strategy, optimize campaign performance, and forecast trends that align with Telemundo’s social objectives. Leverage analytics to understand audience behavior and measure the impact of social initiatives on ratings, streaming, and brand growth. Operational Oversight Build and lead a high-performing team comprising strategists, content creators, community managers, and data analysts. Manage agency partnerships, vendor relationships, and budgets to ensure efficient execution of initiatives. Ensure all social media efforts align with Telemundo’s broader mission of fostering fandoms and building a powerful brand identity.
