NBC’S Telemundo McAllen News Internship provides students with real world experience and exposure to working in a top ten television market and in a high-energy newsroom. Interns may gain experience on the Assignment Desk, writing/producing, and/or with working on our digital platforms. Successful interns will demonstrate a passion for learning and the ability to step out of their comfort zone. We are looking for students who are highly motivated and who can function as a team member or independently in a fast-paced news environment.

KTLM Telemundo in McAllen, TX is seeking a Multiplatform Producer who can create news that appeals to both traditional Broadcast and new media audiences. The Multiplatform Producer will be responsible for successful coordination and execution of newscasts, special programs and digital content. Functions/Responsibilities: Oversee the overall production of daily news content, including special coverage, in-depth stories and other news-related segments for both newscast and online platforms.

This position will be responsible for growing revenue across NBCUniversal Local OTT and digital platforms, including NBC Spot On, Peacock, NBC / Telemundo Full Episode Player, and Linear TV including Telemundo. The AE will develop an understanding of our ad products, leverage tentpole events like the Olympics, Super Bowl, and World Cup, and have solid consultative selling skills to be able to best develop solutions to meet client needs. New business, revenue closure, account relationship building, customer satisfaction, and product implementation success are key responsibilities.
