NBC Sports Boston is seeking an intern who will work side by side with our content producers across our different platforms (linear, digital, social, audio). This position is perfect for students who are studying broadcast journalism and are interested in working in Sports. Students will be responsible for communicating with others on a variety of levels, using a wide range of communication tools, assisting with research, brainstorming ideas, archiving/logging feeds, creating graphics, writing copy, and organizing and prioritizing tasks.

Pitch, report and write news and features Pitch, shoot and edit packaged video pieces for social media platforms in conjunction with the Digital staff and on-air reporters Identify opportunities for interaction on social media platforms with live conversations between reporters and story sources Cut video from linear shows for use on websites, apps and social media Identify opportunities for graphics and data visualization Shadow digital editors, TV producers, assignment desk editors and others Assist with social media

Participate in daily editorial process: planning, researching, newsgathering, logging, writing and editing Learn editorial and technical aspects of news gathering Shadow producers and assignment editors Produce individual news stories for demo reels and online Participate in studio anchor session Research view calls and tips and assist on the assignment desk Create individual special project opportunities Interns should have some experience in journalism, at least in the classroom, but preferably in a television newsroom setting.
