Programme Essentials To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria: Currently be an undergraduate studying at University and applying for a Placement year in your 2nd or final year Graduating from your undergraduate degree in Summer 2025 Looking for employment after completing A-Levels or equivalent course or an Apprenticeship In addition, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 30th June 2025 – Friday 17th July 2026 You must be flexible and willing to work a variety of shift patterns, starting between 3am-9am We strongly advise that you do not apply to more than 1 Internship role to ensure that you are considered for the Internship that you are most interested in and that your skills are aligned to What will I be doing? As a News Programming intern, you will be supporting the CNBC London show production team in general production duties for programmes Squawk Box and Street Signs. You will work closely with other show producers to script stories, assist in the edit suite managing taped video footage, creating on-air graphics, and building the daily rundown. You will be exposed to live gallery production, supporting both developing and breaking news stories. What will I learn from this opportunity? Keen news judgement You will develop a strong grasp of what makes a good story for our audience of global business leaders and investors, and the right types of guests that help tell the story to our viewers Writing for broadcast You will gain an understanding of the style guide and best practices for writing for broadcast Live gallery exposure You will contribute to the live production in the gallery of our programmes.
