Freelance Assignment Editor - NBC10 & T62 Philadelphia

Lead coverage of breaking/developing news stories both editorially and logistically for both the newsroom and field crews Research, coordinate & implement coverage of news stories Ability to quickly assess what is needed on coverage of breaking stories Ability to find & book experts and community members to appear on-air Collaborate with the website, social media, and streaming team Initiate & maintain communication with affiliates & NBC Network counterparts Consistently monitor and break news through social media platforms and tools This shift will start as an overnight weekend position, along with several weekday shifts. This is not a staff position. However, 40 hours per week through 2025 is possible PLEASE NOTE: This is a project position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
