This is a multi-platform role that is responsible for generating output on a rolling news cycle. It is especially focused on creating original content for all outlets, including Nightly News, The Today Show, MSNBC, NBC News Now and other livestream programs, and NBCNews.com. The position is based in the NBC News London bureau and covers Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and occasionally Latin America.

NBC News Digital is looking for an experienced news editor to join its London team and work with our international team of reporters, TV correspondents and producers for six months of parental leave cover. The successful candidate must have worked at a major news organization commissioning and editing articles aimed at a broad audience. The deputy director will drive and shape NBC News’ weekend coverage for millions of readers across its homepage, app, alerts, social platforms, newsletters and with its partner platforms, like Apple and Flipboard. The deputy director will own all aspects of weekend coverage for the platforms team, including weekend planning and coverage of breaking news and events.
