The News Desk Producer will cover day-of national and foreign news for NBC News Channel. NBC News Channel provides news content and editorial support to all NBC affiliate stations, NBC News, MSNBC, NBC Nightly News, Today Show, all NBC News digital platforms, CNBC. Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. This is a full-time remote position with a preference for the Charlotte, NC area. Responsibilities: Write, edit, and manage news-of-the-day and breaking news content Assign stories to writers, advertise stories and review for editorial accuracy Collaborate with assignment desk and regional producers Respond quickly to breaking news Provide quality customer services to NBC News Group, affiliates and clients Willing to work weekends, nights, holidays, and various schedules Available to be on-call for breaking news
