Correspondent

This role reports firsthand information of news events national and international. The news correspondent provides to the audience context, analysis, and different perspectives. Responsibilities: Daily coverage of news events primarily from the Miami bureau. Contribute to the editorial line of the day pitching stories and exclusive reports or interviews. Researching and gathering of new stories using a variety of sources, such as interviews, press releases and social media. Work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment with the willingness to work early morning shift, weekends, and have flexible hours for last-minute scheduling changes. Work under the supervision of executive and senior producers. Work in collaboration with assignment editors, producers, and writers. Exhibits an understanding of social media to gather information for the stories.
