Correspondent

This role reports firsthand information of news events national and international. The news correspondent provides to the audience context, analysis, and different perspectives. Responsibilities: •Daily coverage of news events primarily from the Los Angeles bureau and surrounding areas. •Provide live on-air reports. •Contribute to the editorial line of the day pitching stories and exclusive reports or interviews. •Travel to cover breaking news or scheduled news events. •Work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment for the late newscasts and weekend. Also, flexibility to work the early morning shift and adapt to last-minute schedule changes. •Actively search for content in all platforms including social media and streaming. •Write compelling and accurate scripts. •Work in collaboration with assignment editors, executive producer, producers, and writers.
