Supervisor Field Research
Help Universal Studios Hollywood learn about and improve the experiences of our guests. The Consumer Insights Field Team plays a key role in collecting foundational information used to make business-critical decisions about our guests: where they’re from, why they’re here, and what they love (and don’t) about their experiences with us. As a Field Research Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful management of the day-to-day field research team and data collection. You will work closely with the Consumer Insights Sr. Field Manager, Field Managers, and Field Interviewers to ensure that projects are executed according to approved methodology and within the pre-designated time frames. You are also instrumental in supervising the growth and development of Field Interviewers, monitoring data quality and integrity, and ensuring protocols and guidelines are consistently followed. Responsibilities Include: Field Project Management: Prepare project study materials, briefs teams on shift project schedules and study parameters, and conducts post-shift debriefs. Monitor surveys for data quality, quotas, and productivity. Produce daily project-specific bias and tracking reports. Conduct observations, motivation, and coaching to ensure proper methodology, increase efficiency, and build interviewer skills and confidence. Manage day-to-day interviewer shifts, including replacement and /or reallocation of resources due to employee sick calls, employee breaks, and rearrangement of work location to maximize efficiencies. Team Member Development and Training: Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating interviewers in proper procedures and methods of data collection for each Field project. Manage interviewers by setting work expectations, leadership standards, and specific work location efficiency techniques. Conduct monthly conversations with direct reports on their growth and development, including strengths and areas for improvement. Enforce appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and departmental standards. Collaborate with human resources to execute best practices with team members. Data Collection: Be an active member of the Field Team and lead by example by conducting surveys on every project assigned when needed. Departmental support – Attend and participate in department and divisional meetings. Assist with technical equipment needs and TSAT planning as needed. Interview potential new candidates for the field team with Sr. Field Manager when applicable, and assist when appropriate in onboarding activities, including reviewing applicable field rules and protocols. Perform other duties as assigned. Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
